This retractable awning was a must have for our customers at this beautiful waterside home in Westport, MA. The southern exposure of the deck led to unbearable temperatures all day long in the summertime, and what good is a deck if its not comfortable to hang out on. That is exactly where our lateral arm retractable awing comes in.

Here we have the blank canvas: a deck with no shade, and some large beautiful windows that take a beating from the sun all day as well. As an aside, canvas window awnings (and this retractable awning that covers the windows for that matter) can reduce indoor temperatures some 15 to 20 degrees.

Only mounted to the studs of the exterior wall, this 16 foot wide retractable awning can project out from the house 12 feet, giving some much needed shade and lower temperatures underneath.
