There was nowhere above this door to mount an awning and still be able to open the door so we came up with this solution; mount the awning so that the side covered the door. We made the awning with only a left side and allowed the open right side to cover the door. We also pitched the awning so that it followed the roofline above the door and will be sure to slide any snow off during the winter.
